Leporids

Introduction

Leporids are the family of rabbits and hares, containing over 60 species of extinct mammals in all.  The Latin word for Leporids is those that resemble Lepus which means hare. Leporidae can get bored when they live on there one without a human or anther Leporidae. A Leporidae predator is a raccoon, lion, snakes and an eagle. A Leporids can live for 7 - 10 years. 

Diet

Leporids enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables. Leporids can't eat apple seeds, onion, tomato, macadamia nut, tomato plant, and rhubarb leaves. Banana peels are very safe for Leporids it is very unsafe to give a slice of banana to a Leporids. 

Habitat

Leporids live in big burrows under the ground where it is dark. Because Leporids are very furry it helps them in the coldness. Leporids have very small tails that stick out a little bit even to their tails are very fluffy it is still very hard. You can find White Leporids in the Arctic. Leporids have very small wickers that stick out a little bit.

Interesting facts 
there length 20 cm to 50 cm.   
there weight 0.4 to 2 kg.
Their ears are 10 cm (4 in).
They have 28 teeth with 6 incisors (4 on top and 2 on bottom).
they can live for 4 to 20 years.
